Hi guys, I'm new to this forum but i've been lurking for a while now, reading as much as i can before i decided to buy a berg.

i finally bought a 2004 fs650 motard a couple of weeks ago that had a damaged top end which i'm currently fixing.

I noticed my bike doesn't have a cush drive and i want one as i'll be using it a lot on tarmac and just want to limit the wear and tear on the gears.

whats the cheapest and easiest way of fitting a cush drive? If anyone knows some good suppliers close to me that would be great. I'm in Europe, Cyprus.

Thanks in advance and thanks for a great site

call into any ktm store , they have cush drive listed in the hard parts catalogue .

hope this helps

YOU WILL NEED DIFFERENT HUB ASSY , RUBBERS, SPROCKET CARRIER

KTMTALK.COM

HAS #'S

I got the ktm hard parts cush wheel set (through Husa) and sold the never-used stockers on ktmtalk. Definitely the cheapest way to go.

hi xristos, do you have in cyprus an official husaberg dealer-importer or Tasoulis Xristos in athens is your man?

i thing that Hellinmoto in athens has a branch in cyprus if you are going the ktm way at the end.

any how i do not have a cush drive in my 600 , i ride it like hell everyday at the road and at the weekends i enjoy it at the mountains and some local mx tracks all the above with 17' wheels and haven't had any issues with secondary gears or the gearbox-they still are as good as new with no wear at all.

Thanks guys, i'll look into getting the parts from KTM here in Cyprus.

OYK - its good to know you haven't had any problems without a cush drive. I guess riding style makes a big difference and I really wanna hammer my Husa so I just wanted the extra insurance.

I bought the bike at a bad time - its holiday season here and most businesses close for a week or two. I started trying to replace the camshaft today and only got as far as realizing i need a special tool to remove the cam chain and a new link to replace. I guess i can only sit and look at my bike for a couple more weeks!

i wouldn't mind having a complete set of special tools for my bike, do you think it'd be cheaper direct from the factory?

Xristo,

Call the authorized dealer in Limassol. This week are closed (summer holidays) but they will open next week. go into www.husaberg.se and get into dealers. You will find Cyprus'authorized dealer, John motor. Call them next week and ask whatever you want.
Marios

Hi Marios,

thanks mate, i found them a few days ago and am waiting for them to open. I'm hoping and preying they carry a lot of stock/spare parts, because i've got another fc501 on the way that needs work too.

maybe you can show me some of your twisty roads one day (unless you're keeping them a secret!) I'm based in Nicosia, Lakatameia.

Hi mate,

There are a lot of twisty roads in Cyprus. I suggest you some of them, maybe already known to you.

From Palexori-agro-karbounas
From kakopetria, you take the road to St. Nicolas of Stegys Village towards Prodromos.
From Prodromos to Kikkos.
from Kato platres to Phini to Prodromos.
From Saitas to Kakopetria
The road from Saitas to Pera Pedi to Kato Platres
I like to the from Linou to Troodos
There is a nice road from Asinou to Karbounas

I'm in Limassol
About the dealer now, they don't have a lot of spares in stock but whatever you order, maximum 10 days you get the stuff.
I order black motard wheels 10/08 and I got them already. The prices are really reasonable.
That's my private email if you need something.
