Greetings all. i am a new owner of a '09 FE570 and cannot wait for the snow to melt. I came across the opportunity to trade my sled for this cherry of a bike so i did it. Its got 8 hours on it and 270 km's. Came complete with a street kit as well. For the last four years i have been riding a CRF450X and am wondering if anyone has come off this bike onto this 570 monster and can share some tales of what i am in store for. I worry that this bike might be a bit over whelming on the single track i normally ride. Anyway, wanted to say hi and am pretty amped about this bike.

All I can say is that the 570 on traction map will probably be better on the singletrack as long as you don't have to pick it up or carry it on your back. Trials tire, Recluse clutch and LHRB are the hot setup for singletrack in my opinion.

Just picked up a 2010 FE570, coming off a desert modded yz426. The bike is awesome, a little touchy on the throttle, add a few ergos, and set up the suspension, and you're gone! Trials tire is a total trip, don't know why it works so well, but it does. Rekluse is great too, but i'll live without it, a bit pricey. But what's a LHRB?

Got the 2010 Berg and had the 2006 450X

NO Comparison really. The Berg rocks in all areas. Light, nimble, leftover power.
The Honda, although good, does not compare. Not as much power, feels heavier, and overall not in the same race.
The one thing from the Honda that I would like to carry over to my Berg is that comfy Honda seat, best of all the bikes out there.

just to add a little to that , i ordered and fitted the high seat to my 2011-570 -14tooth on the front , it is softer than the origonal one and is much easier to stand up when you are worn out , it is also good when you have to use your *** to transfer the grunt to the back wheel without killing your tailbone , i think it should be a standard thing and order the low one as an option.
we do up to 300k sometimes and most rides are a full 180 kms with both subframe and main tanks with an extra 2l in the back pack just as in case. -best bike ive ridden by far-

Guts medium compound, first ride this past weekend with it, very nice!

I have a trials tire on my 450x- love it, if im riding this bike in the woods- it gets one too. I don't know if im just going to dual sport it or else beat it on the single track. i know my 450 is a beast to handle sometimes in the woods, not just the weight but the power as well. i have gone through that bike and replaced and upgraded everything- it rips. which is why the 570 worries me a bit- its more powerful. I am hoping that it feels alot more nimble as advertised. I would like to set up the suspension but the only way that happens is if someone who knows theirs stuff tells me how many clicks in or out everything is. i don't play with things while riding- i get on and adapt anyone here about 5'11 and 195 without gear want to share their setup??
