Cover the frame before the chain - frame guard

We've actually used cutting boards to make chain sliders for our vintage Husqvarna's since you can't find them.....

You can mark it with z paint pen as I did to see if it's doing it's job properly.
It's probably not a big concern for those that don't ride often.
I thought it was a good idea as I ride the piss out of mine.

I just change chain and go vith rivet link, maybe it' s just to wide on place of split link.
unfortunately didn' t ride it yet.
I have 2003 and I didn' t notice that chain is touching frame until i change to newer chain slider on swingarm.
Original chain slide was flat, without guide for middle of chain.
I' m thinking that newer chain guides are running chain more right, closer to frame.
Another thing that could have influance is maybe front sprocket.
if sprocket is wider or can be moves left/right, it will also guide chain in right closer to frame.
Maybe you can try put shim on axle between sprocket and zeger to keep sprocket more to right.

Wouldn't putting the split link the other way around make it work like a rivet link? Installing would be a bit PITA.
