I was at a dealer looking at 5 new Husabergs yesterday. I noticed 4 of the 5 had crusty coolant around the waterpump gasket and also had little (very little) puddles of coolant on the engine case. Should this cause concern? Dealer said he'd put a new gasket on it, but 4 of 5 having the same leak seemed strange.

I found the same leak on my 2010FE450, drained the coolant, tipped the bike over on its left side, removed the water pump cover, and very carefully removed the gasket, cleaned the area and applied new gasket sealant, reinstalled and no more problems. I have almost 100 miles since the fix and alls right with my bike
