Complete crankshaft kit, where to buy?

Hi,

I got a 2001 Husaberg FE650E and the crankshaft has gone. I was wondering, I mean, I've heard people talking about a possibility to get a 2008 crankshaft kit for my engine? Anyone knows?

And where in Europe are parts cheapest to buy?

One new crank must be very expensive

Why don't you search for a used one and buy a new rod ?

Do you think it's possible to use a crankshaft from a 2002 HUSABERG FE501?

the 80mm crank will fit physically but Im pretty sure the taper for the newer kokusan ignition is different

since people have converted SEM to kokusan ign maybe they are the same

Hm, I'm not sure???

I'm thinking about buying a New 2008 crankshaft and rod from taffmeister. I think that it will fit my engine?

yes it will fit but i'm not sure about the taper for the flywheel .. ask taffy

From parts manual the 501 it's different from the 650.

If you want one 501 crank I've got one.

The taper it's not exactly the same, only close.
And that's not all that's need to be done

the information on where to buy the crank is in the thread i linked to earlier.. munn racing.

I am putting an 80mm crank into my 02 cases it fits physically but I don't have an sem ignition..

i have a KOKUSAN ign that will work and fit with the 80mm crank but i have to do a lot of modifications to the cases to make the new ignition fit to the 02 cases.

I can get you part of the SEM solution. I have a stator that I can spare and one 03 650 CDI that is not working, but I can repair it. I just don't have one good flywheel that I can spare to you.

If you want to try something let me know.
