I just had an inconvenient thought. We all know that the clock feature is notoriously inaccurate. Does that mean that the count of engine operating hours is equally inaccurate?
Unless it was a high quality aftermarket hour meter I con't know if I'd trust that either. Most of them use a pick up from a 2c bit of wire wrapped around your ignition lead.
