Hello all. I've removed the battery and starter from my '01 650 and as always find it hard to start (with the kick, smart guy!). In the doc section I saw a reference to the idea that a fresh battery will assist with kick starting. As the only thing my battery positive was connected to was the rectifier, starter solenoid then starter, I'm not sure this is correct. If it's true that somehow the positive circuit from the rectifier "boosts" the ignition system, should I complete the circuit through either a small battery or a capacitor?
I've searched and have seen advice that the rectifier output should run through a cap, and have also seen advice to just unplug it and tape it up. Which way to go?
Thanks,
Dennis
