Hello,
Has anyone on here every replaced the Delo with a Mikuni? I have a BTS 33SS that I would like to try on the old 350. Just wondering if anyone had done this?

Thanks,
fedge

Thanks Taffy, May I ask why? Not big enough or two small? The bike a pig on fuel with the carb thats on it.

33mm is way too small. I put a 41mm on my 400 and it shot forwards.

we do an "easystart kit" for the round slides. we can put together the wear parts etc for the square slide but we tend to replace like-for-like.

we've never worked with a customer on the jetting on one of these as most people don't have the skill set.

so let's start with the shape of it?

you may have seen a thread about a needle I'm preparing for sale.

It's going to be good.

I am in the same boat. I Have a 95 350 with the square slide del orto. It currently has a 33 pilot, 50 choke jet and a 185 main. Not sure on the needle as I didnt remove it. Bike starts in 1-2 kicks cold with no choke and is running extremely rich it seems ( if i touch the choke at all it dies instantly and I dont have to use it to start the bike cold ). Spark plug comes out black as tar. Do you have a kit that I can use to service this carb? The parts in it look old and could probably stand to be replaced. Partial throttle response is terrible and the bike will bog if i open the throttle to quickly from a low rpm. Its rideable if I roll the throttle on, its just seems like its loading up. I live at sea level and in a very humid climate here in the southern part of the usa. I have jetted many 2 strokes but never messed with a berg or a del orto before. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

We do a spruce up kit for any Dell orto, we replace the worn parts but we ask people to supply the numbers off the items they extract and we usually choose to stay with the atomiser possibly the needle but change the other stuff. the previous goons pewrhaps didn't touch the atomiser and needle but sure did the jets!

think previous owner = gremlin and you have it right.

just touch base with us and we have everything in stock. I then work with the customer towards getting things right. a month later we have a sweet running bike. your parts are either weak or worn. added to that is tappets and ignition timing - you're in charge of those two!

TB.

after I start selling the kits for the roundslide I intend going back to work on a square slide I have here but it'll be on my 2003 FE501e.

regards

Taffy
