Hello.

My bike is Husaberg 550 Fxe 2001

My bike broke down almost 1 year ago in wery wet competition. I was able to get it runned by pulling it by car:-/ But it ran to hot and with explotions.

i have tryed everything and after reading these pages i bougth stator but not flywheel ( long story ). But no changes.

1. Do i have to buy it in pares?
2. How can find out if the CDI box is broken.

please help.

Hello Gisli Arnar Gudmundsson,

1. You do not have to buy it in pairs. If you bought the correct SEM stator, you can use it with your old flywheel. Check your flywheel to make sure there are no cracks in the epoxy bonding the magnets in place.

2. Install the new stator and start the bike. If you have trouble, download the 'Hardstart Trouble Shooting Guide', there is a section in it evaluating the SEM ignition system that includes measuring the high voltage output of the CDI box.

You will find the Guide in 'Downloads' /'Parts Manuals' (second page under manuals).

Save it to your computer and print it out.

Let us know how it goes.

Remember to properly position the stator in the cover for correct igniton timing. This is explained in your Workshop Manual under the 'Alternator and Ignition" section.

Regards,

Joe
