Hi Matt,

As the X1 cam was designed for engine capacity over 500cc, then the X1 is the one I'd go for. With a free flow exhaust system of course.
The valve duration on the X2 is not as harsh as the X1, and you will see more more power at the top end, but with it being a 650 there will be still plenty of mid range grunt.
Plus you will get rid of all the horrendous valve train clatter.

Go for x1 288degrees duration at 10,80 lift or take HOTCAM 272 duration and about 10,80lift.
std 2004 is 266 degrees duration and 10,82 lift.

I would not take X2 ,just my opinion.

I had also a DOMA see my gallery, very strong at bottom and mid BUT very loud!!

Greetings Madero

Thanks guys
Madero had a look at you gallery i like what you have done with the seat so the air filter can get more air . also is the doma on your bike a full system ? looked at the dyno readings the FP makes more up top but the doma has a fat mid range. can you notice the difference between the to on the track?
Cheers Matt

Hello,

The doma was full factory, with the big whole on the muffler about 54mm.

very strong out og corners, and you can gear the bike a bit taller,I rode races with a 14-40 gear ratio.

Now I ride with a FP exhaust system who is more quiter,is not so strong on bottom as DOMA but stronger at top rev (about 2-3HP)

On my bike I Had at the last and best dyno 72,1SAE HP on backwheel and about 74NM,and no it is not a std 649cc,it is a bit more.

The whole on the saet works only above 5800RPM,then you can gain the power about (0,5 a 1HP)

Greetings MAdero

PS I am working with new main bearings ,but I am still waiting on them ,Then ,I will throw it on the forum so Taffy doenst start to wine.....and weep.....
