The last "swedish" Husaberg bikes went out the factory door in march 2003. Ever since KTM became a major shareholder in Husaberg (2000-01, if think), parts and suppliers were chared increasingly. In the earlier days it is my opinion that the factory used the better/revised design parts for bikes going to the European market and assembled bikes with outdated versions of parts overseas ("cleared the shelves"). I believe that explains why especially US bikes have more "charasteristics". In my earlier profession, I have allways focused even harder on verifying quality of products, to be shipped far away, to keep evolving markets happy and the warranty account low. Well let´s say there is a huge difference between both suppliers and customers, when comparing privately financed products used for leisure and products used for earning profit to the customer. That´s why I never did quit my day job!
