cam chain

question i have just bought a new cam for my fe600 cos the water pump seals were leaking and i was told that the cam had grooves in it so had to change it should i change the cam chain aswell or will it be ok dont know if it's ever been changed 8O 8) :roll: :?:

Hi,

normally the cam chain is no problem. You have to check the chain
like all other chains too. Is it worn or torn?
Have a look at your cam chain tensioner. The position of the notch is an indicate for how worn your chain is. If itÃ‚Â´s nearby the last position you have
to change the chain. Otherwise I wouldnÃ‚Â´t change it.
