it's not better than the simpsons
The movie was pretty funny I think but did not have the punch I expected. It was pretty much like a long episode.
South Park on the other end, the movie was funnier than the funniest episode and that's a feat.
The Futurama movie I liked, if not only because it marks the return of the series.
Biggest let down this year for me was the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie.

Calvin, Hobbs et al.......
Ayup.... I got hooked, too. Have a couple of C & H, 4 or 5 Bloom County, including the "Billy and the Boingers" Bootleg Book, complete with the vinyl record. Had an original Pogo, but was, ah, "borrowed" by a Coast Guard crew :rr: mate back in the late '60s.....; guy turned out to be a doper - smoking Maui Wowee on duty, sniffing TCE while supposedly cleaning comm. equipment in a closed room with cooling/ventilation shut off. Went slightly :laughing3: one afternoon, hauled him off in a white coat and leg irons.....
