They made a huge mistake when they cut Motoxotica and Ron Bishops. These dealers know how to work on these bikes and have been there from the beginning. Ron Bishops was the first U.S. Husaberg dealer. Motoxotica stocked the most parts. I suppose that these dealers have accomplished their task, have held on through thick and thin, and can now be kicked to the curb in order to make room for the spit polished showroom, big business, volume dealerships.
Only problem is that KTM probably did not forsee a huge global slowdown and massive deflation. The giant box Yamasuzkawahonda dealer that also sells Husaberg will probably be the first ones to go out of business as the biggest fish starve first. I have to believe that this was solely a KTM decision and not one endorsed by the remaining Husaberg staff. One Husaberg dealer in the entire San Diego county area, which is supposed to be a dirt biking hot spot, that barely knows what a Husaberg is won't cut it.

I just picked up a fe450 from Fator's in Redding. First time I have dealt with them and they were very nice, threw in some oil, filters other stuff. They also had a lot of ktm's on the floor. I would recommend them.

What makes the whole Husaberg thing worse in California is the RED sticker issue. It's tough to sell a RED sticker bike here. Dealers can't afford to have their money invested in bikes that will only be sitting on their floor collecting dust through a forced flooring plan that makes poor business since to our smaller dealers.

The RED sticker issue is so easy for Husaberg/KTM to fix but won't. They just need a fuel tank that will pass emission testing to be GREEN sticker legal. KTM won't do it for the Husaberg line, even though they offer dual sport/GREEN sticker leagl bikes in California. KTM really screwed, I mean cares about their CA Husaberg market and riders.

For KTM to take dealers like MotoXotica and Ron Bishop out of the game in their biggest market was just poor business on their part. Anyway that's old news.

Will Motoxotica still sell berg parts? If not that is a huge loss for those of us who have come to rely on them. They were simply the best parts dealer that I have ever worked with. And Dan is a great guy too.

Agree with everything you said, Ossaman. To take it a step further, KTM's exc line is street legal, not just green sticker. KTM buries the knife, AND twists it. No wonder there are only four CA dealers. Funny way to approach the biggest market in the USA.

People who buy $9K Husabergs, usually have other dirtbikes to ride during the green sticker season. If they don't, find a riding area where the rangers don't check stickers.

Yes, MotoXotica is still selling Husaberg parts. They have a huge inventory on hand to help all us with our needs.

2009 Husqvarna's are arriving anyday now. Just in case you wanted to know.

Yeah how is it that MotoXotica has more parts than a Husaberg dealer? They don't have Parts manager or the 2 week wait for parts?
The TXC's look good
