Just sold my 2002 FS650e and got a Suzuki GSR600 and a Kawasaki ZX6R. Sorry to release the 'Berg but it was time for it to go.
I'd like to thank everyone on the site for their helpful advice. It's not that often that a question can be posted in the UK and answers come in from the States and Oz by the following morning. The 2 best things I can recommend for any 'Berg in the UK are,
1) Fit a new Sparks stator
2) Have the jetting sorted by Taffy
This is basically what got my bike really going, plus the repair of the wiring that I did and a few other things. The 650 is a tremendous bike but my son and I wanted bikes which could go longer distance with a bit less maintenance. Perhaps I'll see 'Berg owners on the road and give them the bikers nod.
Best of luck with your bikes.
