Just got a 2006 Husaburg fe450e. Rode for the first time last night and the pipe burned a hole in my left pants leg right above the ankle. I tried to not intentionally let it touch the pipe but... Is the a guard or anything that helps this?

My fe450 has eaten many a pair of waterproof trousers.
You can use exhaust wrap for manifolds ( headers over the pond).
I did my exhaust and used stainless steel cable ties to secure. Welding wire can also be used.

Wrapped mine too. You can still get a guard for it out a Europe somewhere, but are expensive.

Exhaust wrap and a generic aluminum cut-to-fit protector helps. Rocky Mountain sells a Tusk exhaust protector that works well. I use the on many of my vintage bikes that have down pipes.
