broken crankshaft

Yesterday my mechanic opened my berg. he told me that the main gear next to the crankshaft is broken and it has broken this one as well.

considering a replacement for the crankshaft, the piston, the gasket and bearings (plus the work) it will cost about 1700Ã¢â€šÂ¬ (2500$) to fix it

So it has broken the primary drive gear??

Not unheard of in the 650s........

i think i have been lucky in my misfortune..some fragments could damage the engine

How much more damage do you think you can do???

well..it's a 2006 fs650.
with 7000km think about 110hours.

the crankshaft or the primary gear broke the other one..and consequently thesecondary gear has been damaged as well.

i will change also the clutch big gear (really don't know the english name) which is linked with the primary gear to avoid further problems.

today i saw the primary gear and it was crackled..there was a cut on it :S

how many kilometers (or hours) can a husaberg 650 06+ engine last? (considering a street use)
