Recently going over my 04 FE450 after a wash & I noticed the bottom radiator mount has broken off the frame. The rubber isolator piece on the stub mounted to the frame is not appearing to come off without destroying it. I'm a little stumped on how to attached the short stud back to the frame. The stud looks as though it should be welded to the mount on the frame with the rubber isolator over the top. Any constructive input would be appreciated . I plan on calling NMS in Sparks, NV where I bought the bike when they open today as well. :-k

if they're the rubber mounting jobbies they actually screw out, but they are loctited in. Have a look at the '04 parts manual which you can down load from the husaberg website as it shows them.
try putting 2 nuts onto it and then try to unscrew it from the frame.
if not the core of the rubber is actully a metal disc so you could grab hold of the rubber with a pair of grips and try unscrewing it that way. this does lead to damage of the rubber to some degree no matter how careful you are.

most of my rubber mounts broke

i now use different rubber mounts with the centre drilled so the bolt goes through the centre and into the frame . a much more durable way to mount the radiator .

Radiator mounts

I have also had trouble with those rubber mounts and have broken a few. They appeared to use the same mounts on the 2000 models as well as the 04 model as well.If I remember correctly the stud on the rubber mount that screws into the frame of the bike has a small disk shaped head on it that the rubber is moulded to , when you try to release the stud by turning the rubber mount it will break away from the rubber and just spin freely, then I found I had to break the rubber mount to get to the head of the stud to get some leverage on it to remove it.There is a flat washed on the outside of the mount that is visable and trying to turn this will break away the rubber off the head of the stud and spin freely as well and wont come off either.I just replaced the whole rubber mount(cheap) and locktited it back in. I have also tried to repair the mount by cleaning it up and applying a appropriate adhesive to it and clamping it for a couple of days. However only had one mount that was glued that was successful out of about 4 that lasted.
Bit hard to explain but hope it helps !!
