breaking strings

hello,
my fs650 2008 keeps braking the back wheel's strings every time i have a race or a practice at the track. 1 or 2 at the time.
the hub is without rubbers.
the man that put together the hub and the 5'' rim , well i doubt a bit for his skills, could he made something wrong that can cause this?

i dont use a slipper clutch but i use my left hand instead

Check your spoke (string...lol) tension by giving them each a tap with a small spanner. Each spoke should make a medium 'ting' sound, not a 'thunk' sound. All spokes should sound about the same. The higher the pitch, the tighter the spoke, just like a guitar string. High 'ting' is too tight, medium 'ting' is good, 'thunk' is loose. Being too tight or too loose will cause the spokes to break when riding. Only adjust the spokes 1/4 turn at a time, working your way around the wheel, starting and finishing at the tyre valve.

yes but how high is your 'ting'?

is it a 'tttiiiinnngg' or 'ttiinngg'?
is it 'tinggggggaaaa'?
how strong is your 'tong' or is your 'thing' the 'ting'? you see, i think you're all 'tong', 'ting' is you gotta get a smaller spanner, then your 'ting' will be a tight 'tong'!

Ok, here's what you do....loosen a spoke off til it flops around in the rim. Hit it with a screwdriver, ( tinger of choice ) note the sound. Then, tighten another spoke til you round off the nipple ( sounds sorta dirty doesn't it ? ) hit with screwdriver ( tinger of choice ) and note sound.

You want your spoke tension somewhere between the 2. :lol: LMFAO
