Whats the best procedure for break in 4 2010 FE 570 ? Oil change @ 1hour ? What oil ? My dealer doesnt carry the Motorex.

I always do the Mototune thing and dump the oil early. Just vary the revs and load on the engine. Don't lug it, don't let it sit and idle, don't bounce it off the rev limiter. On the gas to seat the rings, and then coast down to cool them, wash, rinse repeat. Normal off roading will do this nicely. Just go ride.

By the way, K&N makes oil filters for our bikes, available at the local Autozone for about $7.50. Much cheaper than OEM and K&N makes quality stuff.

I took the full 12 hours to run mine in, with 6 oil changes, I use cheap semi synthectic car oil, with the chemical included that's supposed to damaged your clutch, well I'm on over 140 hours and the valves haven't moved yet, I can't see myself riding anything else, I think that highly of this bike, it's that good.

The K&N filters are around 30% more expensive than the OE item over here. Personally I'd never use them anyway.

I've just found some 15/50 fully synthetic Shell Helix (car oil) at a really cheap price so I'll be using that next. I've used car oils before on road bikes and never had any problems. Car oils are supposed to contain additives that can cause clutch slippage. If motorcycle specific oils don't contain these extra additives how come they're 2-3 times the price?
