Brake extender

Sorry if this has been addressed recently. Having a hard time getting used to the small brake platform on my FE 550 - miss it a few times and gives me a bit of panic.

I remember somebody on this site that was going to install this extender (made for KTM) and wanted to see if it ended up working. http://www.erider.ws/brake_tip.htm

Alternatively, if you have some other ideas on this, please share.

Dhawkins,

I had the same problem with the factory platform. I ended up using the platform off of an XR650 brake lever I had. The platform mounted up through the factory hole and I used a roll pin to insure it didn't move. It moved the platform out ~3/8" from stock. I have about 30 hours on the mod and haven't hit it on anything.
