was really hot here in the uk yesterday, and had some problems with boiling my fuel on my 09/fe 450 the bike ran fine it was just the noise from the tank, i'm sure ive seen a post or 2 regarding the use of adhesive heatshield tape under the tank, ive found it on the net, but the question is, how well does it stick to the underside of the tank and does it really work?

REMOVE THE NON RETURN VALVE FROM TANK BREATHER THIS ALLOWS TANK TO BREATHER EASY & HELPS REDUCE BOILING.JUST RUN STRAIGHT THRU PIPE TO FRAME.REGARDS HTM

try this stuff here: http://www.designengineering.com/catego ... technology

It works good and is really easy to work with. I suggest getting a couple of packets of their stainless ties. They look really nice.

It really helps keep the radiant heat down. They also offer a stick on heat shielding, a poster here last week had put it on his tank, waiting to hear back how well it stays put.

Do you have a fan on your bike?
