I might want to install blinkers on my FE450.
I have to buy the blinker switch, and flasher relay (and lights oofcourse).
The wiring is there...
But i could not find the blinker wire for the rear blinkers.
It's connector X400 on the wiring scheme:

Is it under the seat ?

Hey rubberbutt,

I want to install blinkers on my 2011 FE450, is it easy? What kind of lights did you put on?

Hello Marilion.

Well i bought a KTM kit. This one:

Most enduro bikes do not install the blinkers. The KTM dealer has many of those kits lying around.
I bought one for € 50. (157 Brazilian real)
Included was: relay: blinker handlebar switch. metal bracket for front blinkers. 4 blinkers, and cable loom, and rear license plate light

My husaberg allready has this cable loom. I just connected the stuf to see if it would work.
Just plug in the relay, and the handlebarswitch at connectors behind the headlight. Plug in both blinkers, and they work.

The connector for the rear blinkers was a bloody nightmare.
It's located beneath the battery inside the subframe.
i had to remove the muffler, subframe, starter relay, cdi unit, and battery and batterybox to find the 3 pin connector.

But I don't have the right rearfender to mount the blinkers, so I'm not quite sure how to tackle that....

I use teardrop slim line type blinkers, they are less prone to damage even when the bike is dropped. They are pretty cheap and easily installed.

One hint with them is to pull the little fake kevlar cover off the middle and put a bit of silastic in there and push it back on. These covers seem to fall off easily if you dont and then dust gets inside.

I mounted mine on the side of the number carrier up close to where it meets the rear gaurd. I drilled holes through the waffle section to run the wires so they are captured. seems to work well for me.
