hi all
newbie had look through forum befor posting .
FE 450 E "05 riding too a street race last saturday open road stuff bike shuts downs dies middle of know were .
got her going she wont hold an idle i can got her up to a 50 km cruise in 3rd gear to get the street race to find my trailer ride home with mates . accel pump is all good which helped to get her moving .
I have cleaned out the fuel bowl there was a small amount off crap in there and also in the main jet but not enough too cause the problem i am thinking.
I stuffed the battery trying to start her with my 525 exc carb yes i am and can be a ****** . I am light at 60 kg and short 171 cm so i need to kick her and use the (electric assist starter).
Should i be testing the stator and or coil ? ?
Fe Husabergs are a ***** too start cold why ? is it the reduction starter gearing combined with shorter stroker compared to my 525 exc "05 which i am shore runs the same starter motor and yet with the smaller Yuasa 5 battery compared to the berg running a Yuasa 7 . I still love my berg over the 525 which is now only street/track motard and flat track bike while the berg ticks all the boxes doing it all with No Bloody KTM tank slap but just a ***** to start cold??
Do i have to change to a lighter Oil ?
