Big Tanks In Oz

Just had a phone call form Suttos, he is now taking orders $530 if anyone is interested in Oz. He needs to know by Wednesday next week to arrange shipment.

Dunno how that would compare with getting one from Rick direct, which would be a good thing, but it may be easier for us to deal locally. Your call.

FYI

RE: Big Tanks In Oz

Steve,

I would be very appreciative if you could post comparative prices between the local offering and BOSS, when everything(shipping, number of tanks) is taken into account.

thanks,

Probably doesnt matter Steve if we buy off Suttos, I assume they will buy from Rick ? So he will still get his return and as you said it would be a lot easier for us.
I sent an email a couple of weeks ago to Rick enquiring about purchasing one from him but got no reply back and havent got around to following that up.

Mick

json,

I've emailed Boss and asked him to post here if he can work something out.

Steve

No use getting the BOSS 4 gallon tank as it is imperial - we need a metric one that hold litres of fuel

RE: Big Tank in Oz

I thought Bosses tanks were only 14 litres?

Yes it is a little confusing, but it must be a BossTank surely ? Valley Force Husaberg in Vic have them, doubt they would tell who their supplier is. But Rick would probably tell if he was sending to them.

Mick

I rang Valley Force and they told me they were a Clark tank. So they are ricks design. I am still wanting to get mine from Rick but I have not heard from him in a while.

Don't know litres from a hole in the ground, but I know first hand that those sure look like BOSS tanks and they hold 4 GALLONS on the nose about 1/2" below the very top.

Guys it might pay to give John a call in Orange on 0263603800 as he is bringing in the big tanks as well, and he is the only dealer supporting the Force Rides this year and next !!!! I agree with supporting the people who support us. Also John has developed and is now producing a fix for the water pump oil leak, that is still present on the 07's. He has produced a kit with instructions for $75AUS + postage including GST. As I have said in a previous thread, John is a very knowledgeably and helpful bloke. I have found there is no bullsh!t with him, just good practical help and knowledge. I am fast putting him in the same category as Dale Lineaweaver. He told me that KTM/Husaberg Australia have asked him for the plans to the fix, presumably to produce it as a factory fix !!!!. Good stuff John, well done.
Cheers :D
Garry.

I know it's late here, but isn't 4.5 litres to the gallon mean it's an 18 litre tank???

Faktor, same here. I order one from him a few weeks ago, even gave him my credit card details, communication has been very light on, I know he is busy.......but if nothing happens soon I will go to those that can supply.

I really need it NOW

RICK please help here asap.

4.5 litres to a gallon, so in metric terms they should be a 16 litre tank.

Well Stoveguy, you have passed the maths lesson and can go riding on the weekend.

What it should have said was: 4,5 litres to a gallon, so in metric terms they should not be a 16 litre tank.

Is Rick a one man crew or what, It seems as though he has gone off the planet at the moment. Is there no one to help him out?

I didnt order but asked for costs for freighting to AU.

I assume he is just really busy as I have spoken to him on the phone and he seems like a great guy.

I will give him a call soon.

Guys, call John Prior in Orange 0263603800. He is the only Husaberg dealer supporting the Force ride in May and next years ride. Very helpful guy and would do what ever he could to help you.
Cheers
Garry.

Gazza you shouldn't be guessing he is busy because you are getting poor customer service. Even if he is busy it seems strange business sense to tarnish the loyalty of people here that want to buy from him. I would think a quick reply to emails would be better than nothing.

Hey, guys yes BOSS is a one man show. I spoke with him once since Moab and from taking 5 days off work he was buried when he got home and hasn't quite dug out yet. Add to that he has to package the tanks he's selling and run them down to the Post Office. I have met Rick in the flesh, please don't think he doesn't care about you, he's the real deal. I'll give him a ring on the phone today let him know you are chomping at the bit. Maybe he can get johnniecat to come in and ship some tanks for him.
