Bike is a 2011 390

I'll try to check it tonight too, also I have a friend with a 570 that has his engine out of the frame. I think he could take some photos on Friday.

Although I'm 99.9% sure that the mounts should be straight and without stress and that you have an issue.

Took a screenshot of the PDF for those that can't open it.

Best of luck with this!!!

Howdy

Note that this is a 2012.
Straight frame for reference.

Left side.
The engine mount sticks straight up vertically.
The engine mount has a "soft" bend horizontally as is clearly visible in the pic.

Right side
The engine mount sticks straight up vertically.
The engine mount has a "sharp" bend horizontally as indicated by the red line. There is no "bulge" what so ever by the nut.

Hope this helps

thanks for the replies. Looks like i bent the mount tabs. One downfall of having a lowered ride I guess. Actually had a p3 guard on and the smash blew a hole right through it. Switching to an aluminum guard for the next bike/frame. Anyone have a frame for sale?

Look on EBay seen a FE 390 frame and a FE 570 frame both were about $650 USD. How hard did you hit frame ? Did you get hurt doing it. Good luck on finding a frame

hey rainy, High speed launch over waterbar to landing square on a rock on the right side of the frame when bottoming. Jolted the whole bike pretty good. Believe I cringed when it happened. No crash, kept riding. The bike has taken some pretty good hits since new. 370+ hrs...

Howdy Rainerio

My frames are not bent. I'm just posting reference pictures per fe390vt request so that he has something to compere with. I've changed my earlier posts to include that fact.
fe390vt frame seems bent and he writes something about hitting a rock with "only" a carbon fiber frame protector (skidplate) installed.

Mine was bent when I bought it, and it looks like someone cased it HARD. In front of right footpeg. You can see where the skid plate is bent here- the frame is tacoed underneath.
