anybody tried the 7amp battery ,is it any good ,my 470 will only start off the button now and again and then i need to feather the decomp lever , might need the 7amp one ,pain in the *** trying to kick the bike on the start line not sat on the bike
 
you have a lot of issues to deal with on an 01 470, and the battery is at the end of the list. if you do some research on starting issues on the 01 and 02 models you will have your reading assignment set for a while. starter, auto decomp, valve adjustment, etc. took them 3 more years to get it close to right. you needs some mods.
