Aqualine is making tanks for the 2009 model!

Greetings all,

I just recieved correspondence from Aqualine to let me know that they will be producing two after market tanks for the 2009 model Husabergs!!!

There will be a main tank of 12 liters capacity (3.16 gallons), and a rear tank of 8 liters (2.1 gallons)!!!!

The tanks will be in production in mid to late summer, in time for the Australian safari series.

That's all the info that I have at this time. I will pass on any new information as it becomes availble.

Thanks to those who participated in the polls, it gave Aqualine a good idea of what to produce.

An option of two different tanks as well? How cool is that?

I'll bet Aqualine has seen the many great write-ups on the 09 Berg which may have helped in their decision. Lets hope they make good on their promise!

How can you question their dedication? They stepped up to the plate for every Husaberg owner when we needed a 08 and older tank, didn't they?

It must be because there's so many more '09's than older Bergs.

I'm sure either Dale or I will. The tanks should be as prototypes by late April, then say May/June on sale.

They WILL be made, there is no doubt to this.

We will be using them on the Safari rallye here in Australia first week in August.

Aqualine are looking at covering most needs from the 3.5gal to the 5-6 gal situation like at Dakar.

Greetings all,

Here is the latest update on the Aqualine fuel tanks.

The fuel tanks are almost ready and will be used/ tested in the upcoming Australian rallye competition season.

If everything goes well they should be ready for sale in September.

...us too (in Alberta). We need one for the Corner Grass Endurance Ice Race Team, and our Dealer (A&E Racing) needs at least 5...he is setting up several snow bikes with the new chassis. Please keep us posted Guys. The snow will be flying within a few months.

Excellent news!
A big(ger) tank(s) and a kick-starter are all that are keeping me from buying a 'Berg....

Shoot. Remember, we didn't see the 70d engine coming at us either. So I'm betting on a kickstarter in 2011.

The 2009 Husaberg Rallye Racing team that is competing in this years Australasian Safari rallye here in Australia is very pleased to announce that a sponsorship arrangement with RV Aqualine / Safari Tanks of Australia to produce long range fuel tanks for the new 2009/2010 range of Husaberg FE offroad motorcycles has resulted in the development of a excellent modular tank system.

The new tanks will retain and utilise the existing stock 8.5L main tank and fuel pump system. The front add on tank will add an extra 7.5L to the main to give a total of 16L.

There will also be available a rear rallye style saddle tank that will hold a further 10L, this retains the stock exhaust muffer mounting.

So a total fuel capacity of 26L will be achievable.

The tanks will be fitted to six of the teams FE570's for the Safari in the first week of August as real world competition testing. Upon completition of the event feedback will be provided to RV Aqualine which will be put into the production tanks for general sale.

That's good. Maybe this will work with the Christini 2WD mod then since Christini has to mod the main tank.
