Just picked up a Fe570 and noticed the kick stand wasn't just removed it had broken off.

Looks like the frame had a little shaft that stuck out a little from the frame and the kick stand should slide on there. That shaft is broken off.

Anyone know of a way to fix it?

hmm ... without seeing it, how about welding it up? does it seem unweldable? (or drilling a hole, tapping it, screwing something in? ... more of a long shot ..?)

had a look at the parts fiche? surely a KTM part fits too - I can't imagine yours is the first bike to have broken this part (low to the ground = likely to be hit in a crash?) - surely it's a available

it looks like it's screwed in?

Here's a picture of the old stand and new stand. And also a picture of what the bikes mounting point looks like.

Not even sure what the bottom hole is for even.

I have the CD repair manual. But, when I try to open it. All adobe shows is the first page.
I also have the owners manual and spare parts manual for chassis/engine.

Looks like the two bolts are just stoppers for the kickstand.

ok!, darn, yeah that manual cd "protection" is awful

- there's a 2010 repair manual around that you can download freely! recommend grabbing it, they're very very similar. for all intents and purposes the same. iirc it's in the service manuals section on here (left column of front page) ... pm me if you like and ill get it to you when at proper computer

Fixed the kick stand.

I got a little spacer "just a piece of rod..." that could fit inside the kickstand mount. Threaded the spacer.
Cleaned the surface of the bike. Bolted newly threaded spacer to the bike. "So when it was tightened to the bike the threads were matched together"

Than I just put a little JB weld around the spacer and frame just to hold it.

Took the bolt out to let it set. Than I put the kickstand on and used a little lock tight on the bolt.

Its not a perfect fix but at-least I'm not spending $175 for a new stand.

We will see if it holds up.

I had the same problem with my second hand bike.

You can buy the central bushing that screws in for about $25. It's the same as a KTM part for a 350 exc-f.
