I'm doing a college project involving making a bolt-in ground anchor for an off road motorbike. One of the scenarios i have to consider is a thief using the power of the bike to try and shear the bolts off. What I really need to know is how much torque will a 400 berg produced. It doesn't need to be exact, just in the region of...
Any ideas?

go to dale lineweaver's gallery. he has many dyno run charts there. TBM tested 4 x 450's this month and with knobblies on they produced on average 35bhp and on average 24ft/lbs of torque (page 65).

hope this helps.

i had my husey 400 dyno'd last december and produced 38bhp. i have since fitted a lineweaver LX2 cam, lineweaver needle, corrected the ignition timing and probably sit on 40-42bhp.

i'm going to get the squish right, a racing tailpipe, brisk spark plug and bigger exhaust valves are next. so i hope to be pushing 42-44bhp. knobblies rob about 2-3bhp i believe.

regards

Taffy
