Ha, I found this picture from a local guy on the Husaberg Facebook fan photo page:

Looks like the airbox location has its advantages!

Yep, been there, done that. Just make sure that you have at least one of the carb lines run up high otherwise the bike will stall as soon as all the lines get submerged.... Ask me how I know.

Haha :) must have been fun

Is the venting / routing also an issue on the 70-degs? Are they equally capable of fording / water riding?

No carb on the 70 deg so no problems, I have been knee deep many times. Keep your airbox above water, thats it.

So far no problem. It's a wet stator and the plug lead do have a very tight rubber to keep water on the outside. The fuses and electronics are high up behind the airbox.

Ofcourse I guess if you park it there for some time you will sooner or later get a problem, but I wouldn't hesitate to do a long water crossing.

did a 1500 mile ride across flooded areas last year, i'd just got the berg over the deepest crossing and snapped this pic of the 690 coming through after the deep bit. at one point the water was over the front guard but no hiccups from the berg. i thought it had stalled at first because it was so quiet, all the engine noise disappeared and there was just a bubbling sound from the exhaust. makes you wonder how deep you could go with the air intake up so high.

This was from a ride a couple of years ago, still ran and rode it the rest of the day and still going to this day :D
