Hey there...

Just joined the website and will officially be part of the Husaberg family in a few days as I purchased a 2010 FE 450.

Been thinking about mods and was looking at the Akra exhaust. A bit pricey at $700.

Can folks share their thoughts on the Akra exhaust? Is it worth it? What the benefits are? Is it much louder? Does it come w/ a spark arrestor?

Thanks

Hey

i have one Akra on my fe390 2010 i also hade the same on my 450 2009!

its good and makes the bike better in the bottom, the sound is louder and meaner!

you can by the the ktm 450 akra with carbon end its the same!

I've got an Akrapovic end can for my FE390 and it makes a really big difference. The standard exhaust is a bit restrictive at the top end and seems to run out if revs whereas the Akrapovic opens up the engine quite a bit. TBH it doesn't sound any louder than the standard just a bit more of a growl! A well worth purchase IMO.

Have you or anyone else seen dyno runs to prove this "big difference"? 7-8 hundred dollars seems RIDICULOUS to me.
These bikes cost plenty already. I seriously doubt any difference you might think you are feeling is worth the money. If you need more power... you should have gotten a bigger engine. If it's less weight you're after... go on a diet. You might also consider the cost to replace it if you should damage it in a crash. Remember, the pro's get paid to use these things, their salary comes from your pocket. Do the math.

LMAO =D> =D>

I was lucky enough to buy a bike with a standard and aftermarket akropovic exhaust so my experience comes from riding one back to back. IMO the aftermarket exhaust gives it more top end as I said, it definately feels better but I haven't had it on a dyno so cannot say if it does produce the power differently it just "feels" different.
