I don´t know the manufacturer,but in Sweden www.cross-center.com distributes an alloy gearshift lever which cost ~250 SEK

taff, will this fit a 98? and do the head bearings you do fit all models as well?

yes they both fit. the gear lever is thee most superb bit of kit i have seen for the money. i have double checked the books, etc and the price is right. if you have a pre '04 then out the lever for this all day.

Me on the other hand would kill for the old gear lever. But they don't make it any more and it's hard to get hold of a used one. The alloy levers break to easy. But at least those one will just bairly ruin me, the standard ons would do it for sure
