Advantages & Disadvantages 08 vs. 09

Hi guys I have seen the pics of the 09. I thought it would be interesting to see what you all thought about getting an 08 vs. waiting for the 09.

My thoughts: The 08 is now very proven (since 04)
The price will be better on an 08(the dollar is for buttwipe and boogers soon)
I don't see a signifagant weght reduction in the 09

The 09: What a hot little bitch :evil:
Best looking bike I've seen. And I liked th 98 tru 03's
FI of course. (could have some glithes, the kind you don't fix your self :? )

Why would you buy one over the other?

Wouldn't buy either of them. Buy a cheap '07 now if you absolutely must have a Berg and then wait for the 2010 when hopefully they have all the issues on the 09 sorted.

Think back to the 01 and the issues it had as a new design.

Better: wait until 2012 and buy a used 2009 and bitch at the former owner!!!

I can assure you that KTM/Husaberg will do some thorough R&D and testing before going to the dealers with this bike. This will not be a 00 or 01 abortion.

Gazza, you can also spend time and $$$ and manage to make it run decently. Mine is now running so good it even tried to kill me.

Now I love it even more.
