Acerbis Handgaurds

Hi,

I'm trying to fit Acerbis handgaurds - not a good time to stop smoking. It's the first time I've ever tried fitting any, and when the handgaurds in- place and fastened (throttle side) the throttle will not return (sticks open).

Do I need to open the inside of the throttle body more - or to cut away some of the end of the throttle grip - I want to check before I butcher the bike?

If anyone has a photo of their bike with Acerbis's fitted (especially a 501) please stick it up so I can check I've accomplished the task correctly. (close-up's appreciated - the fitted hangauards, not the missus - well, if you insist)

You are going to have to cut away the Nylon on the end of the throttle where it wraps around the bar end and cut the grip end too. The expanding wedge that goes inside the bar is catching it. You do not have to push the wedge all the way in either, push it in just shy of contacting the grip end and tighten it down. If the grip end or the Nylon sleeve on the throttle is touching the handguard at all it will stick. I will try to post the Acerbis rally pros pictures tonight. (recently installed on my FE600E)
