Hey guys! Pretty cool stuff here. I'm currently looking at buying either fe550 2005 not street legal but I plan on making it. 58 hours about 1000 miles. For $1500.
Or a 2010 fe 390 street legal about 3800 miles for $2600.

I do mostly street but I want the ability to ride on trails since I will be doing more of that.

Let me know what you guys think.

I think both are great deals .

An 05 550 with only 58 hours for $1500? Run don't walk! Not a great street bike though. An awesome wide open space desert bike.

Would the fe 390 be better in the street? I don't do highways and such.

go for the 390. it's going to be a classic. when did you last see a crankshaft on top of a gearbox?
