Looked to me ( all be it from my armchair ) that it was taking more effort to follow the trail than cutting a direct route through some of the rocky sections, would save alot on time and energy. Looks like some good riding country though

Of course, the sensation you have is from your confortable armchair. :D

In the video, you can't see the real slope of the mountain. Believe me, in this case the better way is follow the trail. Nevertheless, in some sections we made other routes over rocks.
 
I know there are a lot of places in Spain without rocks ...

I was wondering the same thing, my hands cramped up about two minutes in just watching it, although i liked watching it, thanks cienfu :!:
