Hi guys, New to Husabergs not new to motorcycles.

i Picked up a 1999 Fe501 that needed some kick starter work so i fixed it up. now after trying to start it i noticed it has no spark, all the wires are connected were do i go from here. the last owners had the bike for a couple months rode it twice and just let it sit out side because they had no time to fix it. what do you guys think?

Stator

If you changed the sparkplug, hat and the cable and still no spark then it is the stator that`s broken, and of course you dissconected the orange wire to the killswitch, or?

yes i got a new iridium plug both the old and new have no spark, is the hat and cable the wire that connects the spark plug to the sem icu? the thing that says ngk on it?

RE: Re: Stator

anybody got some info? i thought this would be the place to get it.

More?

Hello.
Based on what you asked about i think that info you got is more than enough ;-)
No spark= 99% SEM stator failure if you checked all the other electric stuff and they are working.

if info was a snake, it would have bit you. look at the "owners doc" on the left side of the page. all sorts of "info", including the method for testing for no spark. your sem is essentially the same as '01-'03.

Thanks for this info guys i contacted sparks and i think ill take it from there.
