Hey guys, does anyone know where I can get the brake pad retaining pin for the rear caliper on a '99 501 FE? The one was missing when I got this bike, so I'm not even sure what it looks like. All I see on the net is '02 and later. Thanks for any help. Steve

i would guess a brembo pin is the same for all makes and models of single piston calipers

Thanks guys, but no help from those guys. I found the "Husaberg" part number for the retaining pin and the little spring plate clip but the only place they show up on ebay is in Italy! I also need the screw-in plug for the ignition cover inspection hole. After it taking 6 months to get the ignition replacement system for this bike, I got side tracked and am just now getting back on getting it going. I can't wait to get it going so I can get rid of it! I can't believe I can get any part I need for a '70s OSSA and can't get parts for a '99 Berg. Anyway, thanks for the input.

The Brake Pad Lock Pin Husaberg part number 140 090-01 is the same as KTM part number 54613310200 $19.33

The Brake Pad Locking Device Husaberg part number 140 093-01 is the same as KTM part number 54613311200 $15.54

The Inspection Plug Ignition Cover Husaberg part number 250 204-01 is the same as KTM part number 58030002050 $8.39

I had assumed that you had already checked with a Husqvarna / Husaberg dealer and the parts were no longer available.

Thanks again Husabutt, parts are on the way. I wish I had a part number cross reference for the parts that were common to Berg and KTM. As long as I have this bike, it would be a big help. Regards, Steve

Ask and you shall recieve

Here's how you do it:

1. Find the part number you need in the parts manual.

2. Go to the Munn Racing web site. Munn Racing

3. Select, " HUSABERG Parts Microfiche "

4. You will see, "Note: Year models prior to 2004 have not been categorized by year but the parts for these years models are in the database."

5. You will also see, "If your year model is not listed in the above list,
click this SEARCH button to locate your parts."

6. Click "SEARCH"

7. Type in the part number you found with the following exceptions, Type the letter "H" before the part number and leave out any spaces or dashes then click search.

8. Oftentimes the Husaberg part number has been has been updated to a KTM part number, usually starts with 800. You can then type the KTM part number in the additional black search box above and from the drop down select OEM parts instead of Hard Parts and then select Cross Ref and it will show you all of the KTM bikes that part was included on. This will aid in finding used parts from KTM's.

9. Just because the part is in the database and is not tagged as discontinued when you search, it very well may be.

10. You can also search by description. Once I typed in Joel Smets and came up with a few parts that were not listed in the parts books like a seat cover and ignition assembly (probably with a very light flywheel).

Once you get familiar with what KTM bikes have similar parts as yours you can go right to that bike in the KTM fiche which has a better database for the older bikes and find parts that cannot be found in the Husaberg / Husqvarna database. For instance, parts for WP 50mm Extreme forks.

Have fun searching as you never know what you may find.
