Hi to all,
I have a Fs650 2001, I have put to new all motor engine and the every 500 kicks 1 spark,
I control the stator and have the just values, then I change the CDI, nothing spark…
then like a new stator… always, before every 500 kicks 1 spark,
I try with the orange cable disconnected and always nothing… :x

Now 5 months are that I try and change all, but is always same before.

Who had some idea...

welcome to UHE swissforce

are the main bearings ok? hold the end of the flywheel and tug up and down. clonk-clonk?

have you seen the 'electrics' in 'the doc'?

do you have a wet plug or a dry plug?

if you have spark and you have fuel it should start!

try to tow start the motorbike behind a car. how does it run WHEN it runs.

just a few things to look at and try.

I have rebuilt the engine
I have replaced the CDI...no spark
I have checked the stator and have the correct readings....no spark
I have replaced the stator ....stilll no spark
I have been working on this bike for 5 months,replaced everything I can think of and have not been able to find the cause of my no spark problem
Can anyone help me?

Thanks nsman! My english is very bad, I have used the translator, now I try alone :wink:

The bike start only after 200 kicks, (I have a big leg),
when works goes well, the problem is to starting here, i presume a bad spark!

All the engine parts is NEW, CDI is NEW, Stator is NEW and after thats a have a big problem to starting my bike.

Is possible that my mechanic has mounted mistaken some piece?

pull the choke jet and it's gauranteed to be blocked!

perhaps you didn't read my first post? i'll stop wasting my time if you'd like?

Hi Taffy, I have read your post and 'the doc' electric!

The main bearings is NEW and also the Crankshaft and all parts to the engine(piston,cam,..) I have spold 3000euro for this...
The flywheel is not tug.

The plug is not dry, normal and clean.

My bike start only after 30-40-60 min. to hard kicking :evil:
and when it run is ok no problem!

My choke jet is not blocked.

Hi all,

I sent a PM to Swissforce yesterday in German.
It turned out that he's from the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland.
He also mentioned he's familiar with the French language.

So is there anyone around here speaking this languages to help him out?

I guess there's an electric problem (obviously) :roll:
May be connectors, may be a broken wire or incorrect ignition timing.
Make sure your mechanic has used the proper parts for your
model and mounted them correctly. May be the ignition coil
is an issue too. Finally sometimes small failures have a huge impact:
check the ignition cable and the spark-plug connector...

You mentioned a Mikuni carburettor. Did you use this carb before
the engine was rebuilt?

The Mikuni was already before, when I have to buy.

I will still make a general control of the wires, spark-plug and the ingnition timing! :?
 
your stator? even when failing i found the bike ran well.

how can a plug be 'normal and clean'? it should be wet after many kicks.

Taffy, I do not have spark regularly!!!!
When I put the sparkplug over the cylinder, I do not have spark!
This is the problem, ago one spark only from 200 kicks!

I have verified all wires, is very good (all New), the sparkplug cap is OK, new sparkplug!

Now I have made to make the controls the cams timing and ignition timing… we will see what happens!
