I am new to this site as well because I want to buy the supermoto and I am killing myself trying to figure which size.I am going to be doing more dual sport and daily commuting back and forth to work and have been told the 650 does vibrate noticeably more.I will likely be cruising alot of open gravel roads as well as some trails and I am not afraid of a busy maintenance schedule.Thats all part of it,and there is no way I will ride a Jap bike.Currently on a 950 supermoto.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

Hi bikerboy, and welcome!

For intended purpose ... dual sport, gravel roads, trails ... do not buy supermoto. Buy enduro - FE 550 - and put dual sport rubber in order to be more "commuting ready". SM wheels are always an option.

But, if you want tarmac weapon, take 650. Not sure about vibrations - after 25000 km on LC4 I`m not the right person for judging about vibrations

I am not telling you that gravel roads and SM are totaly incompatible (see attached pictures), just ... you want be happy too long.

Cheers, Goran

The 650 supermoto with Avon Distancia rubber makes an amazing dual sport bike. You only give up the traction of knobbies but gain that "flat track" feel on dirt and gravel. The lower center of gravity and seat height is a plus too. Very fun bike on or off tarmac.
