501 fe husaberg problems help please

hi alll you bergers got a fe 501 elduro it was smoking alot ov white smoke but runs great ! try stem seals/ head gasket and rings still smokes any ideas thanks also iv got another 501 with the sem leckys naft so i swaped head and barrel and it doesnt want to run it just back fires every now and then also it seams a bit low on compression since swap over any ideas much appriciated thanks

hey there im no mechanic but i once owned a 93 DR350 that had white smoke pouring out of the end pipe but did run i was told that the vavles were burnt not sure what that meant but you might start checking vavle clearence and what not ya never know

sounds to me you got yer cam timing knackered (a little local flavour). i'd pull the rocker adj covers and roll the engine thru while noting where the valves are when you are at tdc. they should be at rest. if they are a bit off, yool need to pull the cam cover after pulling the tensioner to see where the cam is in respect to tdc and maybe adjust it accordingly.
when you said white smoke, do you always get it, hot or cold, accel and decel? does it smell sweet like antifreeze (or perhaps cypher's armpits) :lol: ?
