I have found a nice 2004 fs450. The only problem is that the motor had bad bearings. The motor is out and in boxes. Crank has been balanced for no counterbalancer. It comes with new cyl liner, new gaskets, rings, etc. I would just have to put it together.

Can I make it a 650 while it's apart or something in between?

youd need to make a head packer or spacer or get some 650 cases to take the longer rods and bigger throw on the bigger engines cranks, the bores are all 100mm, strokes vary.

I know its 20mm head packer needed for the 550 to go to 650 not sure with the 450. I don't think anyone has done this yet either.

you could go to a 102mm bore as well, I have a 105 but the headgasket will screw with your mind.

also if you're into making oddball setups the LC8 piston has the right size pin and has been used in the bergs before its about 103.5mm diam I think but the deck height is lower.
