Newbie question.

Any recommendations for someone who,can fit an unrated spring to the rear of my 2011 390fe and is it worth updating the front springs at the same time? I've noticed the seals need replacing so they have to come apart anyway.

I am 6ft 3 and with kit on will hit 110kg.

Based in South Oxfordshire and would prefer a local company
THanks

I was at Ashdown farm 5 times last year! seen enough of that place over the years to last me a life time.

I had a 2009 FE570 and I had 52s on the front and a 94 on the rear. I weigh around 15 stones. the bike was brilliant like that. i revalved the front many times (OC forks not CS or 4CS) and even the rear which i thought was quite weak.

I ran 22mm offset TCs at the end as well. took the 18/20s off and put them on my older husey!

regards

I'd say it was definitely worth doing front and rear. Spring swap and seal replacement are a DIY-able job if you're interested - and conversely you can take it to almost any competent shop. In other words it's not brand-specific or suspension speciality work like revalving for example. I'd ask the local MX / enduro guys who they go to for instance.
