recently bought a 390 2011 model..So far so good. But when letting it rip on dirt track on open road, it seems to wobble. I have checked all wheel bearings but all ok. ANY ideas?

Are the steering bearings ok? They could be worn. Could also be the suspension.
Have a friend who has the same issue. Front suspension was very bouncy and would become unstable at higher speeds. Its difficult to say for sure.

I dont remeber what suspension the 390 has, I think it was the bladder type forks, but I may be wrong. If it is the bladder type, maybe the forks need some new oil and a re-gas.

It seems to only come from the rear and through tight trails feel noting , it's only when I open up on a wider trail it does it. Bearings seem to be good, front forks were done just recently, I noticed the rear tyre was pumped up at bout 18psi, so I am going to run it back at 12/13 which I normally ride on .

18 psi should not make it wobble. I would check how tru the wheel is and take a close look at the tire for a twist in belting. Also check your alignment of the rear wheel to swingarm.

Put your bike on a center stand. If the forks flop side to side then the head bearings are too loose. If it is slow or binds, it is too tight.

Check rear wheel/swinger for play. Grab the rear wheel and lift up/down. Do you feel any play at all. Should be zero.
If there is play, see if you can isolate it to the lower or upper bearing mount of the shock.

My fairly new fe570 wobbled like a mutha. The upper shock bolt was a little loose, but the actual problem was the pivot bolt of the swingarm.
Grabbing the rear wheel with no weight on it showed the problem immediately.

Good luck.
