ICBC registration

Forgot to mention, for all you riders in British Columbia, that this bike is registered with ICBC and can be plated. I had a plate on it this previous summer.

And I would LOVE to know the secret of getting a two-stroke plated up here. What voodoo did youdoo?

Turns out that the Husabergs come with a New Vehicle Information Sheet (NVIS) that does not say anything like "restricted use motorcyle", "competition use only", "off road only" etc... it just says "motorcycle". So, depending on how understanding your ICBC agent is, it can be registered and plated. There are a couple of agents near the local Husaberg dealer who are most cooperative in that regard.

That still doesn't make it street legal of course, there are no turn signals, horn, high/low beam or brake light... but that could all be added if you want. The main benefit is that you can insure it and ride it almost ANYWHERE and nobody will bat an eye. Most cops, once they see the headlight and the plate with the valid insurance sticker, won't bother looking any closer.
