2013 TE250 Subframe concerns.

Guys I'm currently on a 2012 TE250, and a friend has a 2013 TE250 that I've ridden. I really like the 13 better so I'm considering buying it. Those of you that have the 13/14 models how much trouble have you had with the subframe? I see that two of the three pieces that make up the subframe have superseded part numbers, would anyone know if there were improvements made? Thank you for any help you can offer.

In 2014 Husa was discontinued and Husky took over in short, I am not aware of the superseded number but think this might have become the Husky part as they were the same in 2014. Only one issue I am aware of is the sub frame spreads at the rear dirt shield. It allows dirt and debris to enter the air box. It is not a big issue if you maintain regularly, but if it bothers than a quick bead of rv silicone solves the issue.

I have a 2013 FE 350, I presume the same subframe ( plastic one). The only issue I had is that it flexes and opens a gap on the airbox cover letting in water when going through rivers. I sorted it out with some good sealant and havent had a problem since

Mate, I had the same problem but found and copied a Spanish guy on Youtube who got a length of 6mm threaded stainless bar. drilled 2 holes either side of the airbox and with 20mm washers, clamped the two side until I'd a snug fit. Job done!
