Just purchased a 2011 FS570 with all kinds of goodies on it but the suspension is bone stock. Rebuilding the suspension is not in the budget until late fall... for ice racing. But for now, back to supermoto. I have searched the forums for universally-accepted suspension quirks and/or settings but there are no details available, only vague statements that really don't help. My background is that I haven't raced supermoto since 2009 or so, but back then I was a regular race winner and even managed to earn a championship. Although it's just club-level, it was still fun and it felt like we were fast. Anyways, I will be headed to the track again with this bike and would like to start from a good geometry setting. Clickers are easier to figure out for me, and very subjective anyway... I have read in numerous places that this bike is extremely sensitive to geometry and sag settings. My experience is with a YZ450F which is obviously a very different animal. So..... Are there any universally-accepted settings for this machine that would give me a good starting point or just start at bone stock and go from there? For example, with my Yamaha it was common knowledge that you should immediately drop the front end (raise the forks) 5mm from stock...

Also, any advice from riders who went from a Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, or Suzuki to the Husaberg 70-degree machine??? What did I get myself into? Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated and I am sure there are others wondering the same things. :D

I'd like advise on setting the suspension on that bike too. Right now I'm not doing track days but I feel I could have been doing better in overall cornering. My bike is dead stock with suspension set to "comfort" mode, and I'm worried that I'm a bit above on the weight range for this bike's default setup (105 kg, or ~230 pounds), the manual says the springs are good for riders up to 85kg.

I'd also like to have a good recommendation for street-only tires (Michelin pilot power are apparently not being manufactured any more, being replaced by 2ct or pilot power 3)
