2011 FE 570 - Help with new tires

This is a duel sport bike and I do ride on the road quite a bit. Knobby tires wear out too fast. Is there a tire made for both off road and pavement? Something in between knobby and a road tire.

Back tire is 140/80-18 70m
Front tire is 90/90-21 54m

And what does the 70m and 54m mean?

M it is speed index, thats mean 130km/h (81mph)

numebers-Load in kg per tyre

70-355kg (739lb)
54- 212kg (467lb)

Maxxis Maxxcros IT ...that's a good tyres for everything ...or tyres who have the shape of this one (Michelin Sirac Motorcycle Tyre) are good for road and easy off road (ps i never use them)...what kind of off road do you do?
 
If you want a knobby, try the dunlop 606, in a 120 size

They really are a long wearing knobby, you'll get very good life - from memory I rode 2000 km's and the 606 wasn't even 1 quarter worn. I then rode 1600km's on the dirt which didn't wear em down..

They've been around for ever, and you'll be surprised how well you can corner on the bitumen with them.

Mainly just dirt roads through a state forestry. I do ride around our property on the grass and dirt roads. Nothing too aggressive that's for sure. I'm 56 and have tamed down a lot. LOL I really don't need much of a knobby tire.

get some kind of tyres like FE 350 said (they have good price/quality) or anyone in the ''BMW'' style maybe go to a local shop and ask them some suggestion or best ...what's on offer (I wouldn't be too fussy, just find a good price/quality compromise)

mitai.jpg the first 2 should last till your retirement but even other manufacture with nearly similar shape will do

brilliant on road but still OK off road

I've decided to go with the Mitas E-07. I'm hearing lots of good things about this tire.

A place out of Pennsylvania wants $158 for the rear tire and $100 for the front. No tax and free shipping. Do those prices sound about right?

(make sure they fit)...but I dont know how price can vary from state to state in USA or the cost there, they will last you a long time for sure ...take a picture of the size when you get them and if they suit you next time its easy to shop around for them...

had a quick look and price seems ok ...mitas e 07 bmw set | eBay

maybe just wait a day or 2 if someone comes with a website with better price
