Less than 3 hours on my new 2011 FE 390, First real ride died while riding at 20 mph and would not start again. Dealer put new battery in. Second ride, started fine, rode for 30 minutes fell over around a corner it would not re- start, battery seemed fine. Eventually got it bump started rode & for a couple miles, stoped for a while. Bike would never start again, battery still seems ok, its turning over, just will not start. Any suggestions ??? :?

Re: 2011 fe 390 with 2 hours on it will not start, need advi

My (uneducated) guess would be the fuel pump...I had the same problem with my '10 450. Within about 2 hours I turned it off and it refused to restart for about half an hour. Turned over fine but wouldn't start. Eventually I got it running, killed it again 20 minutes later and it wouldn't restart at all. Apparently there are some problems with the fuel pumps, though I would have thought they'd have fixed it for the '11.
Just a guess.

Take it to a dealer. It has warranty.

A few 2011 bikes had wiring loom chaffing issues - mine included!

It could be that.

Have you received the bike back? Always helpful to close the loop.
